Pitch an idea to (Richard Branson’s) PitchTV… Make tons of money (maybe)

Sir Richard Branson has had another brain wave this week, apart from that well-timed decision to buy into the remains of the Honda and now-newly-named Brawn Racing Formula One Team.
In an effort to help all would-be rich and succesful entrepreneurs who have hero ideas but have zero funding , he’s set up PitchTV, a show devoted to airing elevator (airline?) pitches. These will be shown as part of the in-flight entertainment  on-board Virgin Atlantic flights.
Pitch videos are limited to two minutes and will be voted on by site viewers. Five videos will make the cut every month and be shown in-flight. If your idea makes it that far, you should then start hope that one of the travelers on-board turns out to be the venture capitalist you were praying for. (Tip: pay as much attention to the presentation as you do to the ideas… this is a GLOBAL competition, my friend)
It’s worth a shot.
Oh… and a final thing. Branson says that he’ll choose his favorite pitch at the end of the year and “the winner will receive a very special prize which I’ll reveal more details about later on…”
Don’t get all excited yet. The prize could run the gamut from Branson being your project’s angel financier to maybe getting a free flight on Virgin Galactic or even you getting all the Virgin Cola you can drink for life.
