Daily dose of cool
November 23, 2011We live in the age of cool.
Necessities have become so readily available that “cool” now drives our choices.
People have started collecting shoes–the same style in all the different colors. Toys of the same mold– in all the different designs.
We’ve all purchased something useless just because it was funny, interesting or disgusting: a cookie shaped mirror, paper mache poo, banana holder…
These days angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies are in every tiangge, every t-shirt and every birthday cake. Who knows if every single person who owns an angry bird shirt has ever even played the actual game?
There is no rhyme or reason. There is just the inexplicable and unquantifiable coolness factor.
yet it exists in every crevice of our lives–from our milk cartons to our cellphone cases, to our toothbrushes.
As drivers of choice, we can never lose our cool. That’s why incitement is so important.

So when you see yourself staring blankly at your plain grey wall for 8 hours, don’t forget to get your daily dose of cool.
